Job Description:

The role of Private Client Senior Solicitor in Glasgow centers on delivering high-caliber private client services to high-net-worth individuals. Expect to manage intricate matters spanning estates, trusts, executries, will drafting, and related advisory work. The successful candidate will steward a diverse caseload, provide authoritative guidance to clients, and supervise junior solicitors and paralegals, all within a framework of strategic case management and risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Steer complex private client engagements, including estate planning, wills, trusts, executries, and tax-efficient strategies.
  • Offer strategic counsel on intestacy options, succession planning, and wealth preservation.
  • Coach and oversee junior lawyers and support staff to ensure quality outcomes and professional development.
  • Partner with colleagues across practice areas to deliver integrated, client-centric solutions.
  • Maintain precise matter management and compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
  • Deliver clear, commercially grounded guidance to clients during high-stakes negotiations and potential disputes.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Solicitor with significant private client experience (UK rolling call preferred).
  • Proven history handling wills, trusts, estates, and tax planning for high-net-worth individuals.
  • Strong relationship-building and business development capabilities.
  • Exceptional drafting ability and a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven capability to lead teams and mentor junior lawyers.
  • Solid understanding of UK regulatory and professional standards governing the sector.
